Garden Organic is the leading Charity focusing on Organic Gardening. Garden Organic, formerly known as the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA), is a UK organic growing charity dedicated to researching and promoting organic gardening, farming and food. The charity maintains the Heritage Seed Library to preserve vegetable seeds from heritage cultivars and make them available to growers.
Nottingham Organic Gardeners is a group affiliated to Garden Organic, we have had trips to the Garden Organic site at Ryton, attended gardening conferences run by Garden Organic and had a speaker/workshop from the charity. As a group some of our profits are often donated to Garden Organic to support the work they do and a lot of our group members are also members of Garden Organic and the Heritage Seed Library.
