Welcome to Nottingham Organic Gardeners. 

 We are a voluntary organisation, a friendly group in Nottingham, open to all.

 We aim to promote organic and sustainable gardening, and a more localised food culture. 

 We have an Organic Demonstration Garden at Whitemoor Allotments in Nottingham and hold regular talks, workshops and events with an organic theme. 

 Please note we cannot endorse or recommend specific gardening suppliers, businesses or growers.

Tracey Akehurst – ‘Once upon a time at Christmas’

Deck the halls with boughs of holly!

Kiss your neighbours under the mistletoe and share the wassail!
Keep the yule log burning and decorate the Christmas tree.

Of all the seasonal celebrations, Christmas has more traditional plants, with their accompanying legends and symbolism, than any other.

Drawing on Pagan and Christmas traditions, we explore why we still continue to use such an abundance of greenery today in our Christmas festivities.
