Nottingham Organic Gardeners

Welcome to Nottingham Organic Gardeners.

We are a voluntary organisation, a friendly group in Nottingham, open to all.

We aim to promote organic and sustainable gardening, and a more localised food culture.

We have an Organic Demonstration Garden at Whitemoor Allotments in Nottingham and hold regular talks, workshops and events with an organic theme.

Please note we cannot endorse or recommend specific gardening suppliers, businesses or growers.

Spring Lecture - Nick Hamilton, How to have Vegetables All Year Round

  • Friends Meeting house Clarendon Street Nottingham, England, NG1 United Kingdom (map)

Nick is the son of Geoff Hamilton, gardener, broadcaster and author, best known as presenter of BBC’s Gardeners’ World in the 1980’s and 90’s. He has taken over the running of Barnsdale Gardens and developed it into the inspirational garden it is today. It’s still based on organic and peat free principles and attracting 30,000 visitors a year. He is a “hands on” gardener, regularly contributing to gardening magazines, tutors most of the courses run at Barnsdale and appears on “Gardeners’ World” from time to time. He still finds time to display at the Chelsea Flower Show and fulfil his role as President of the Cottage Garden Society.
